Robbie Williams and Whitney Houston to cover some of the o2 dates

July 30th, 2009

It’s reported in the London Metro that Robbie Williams, 35, will make his comeback next year at London’s O2 Arena – filling the gap left by Michael Jackson’s sudden death.

AEG, who own the o2 venue, have been searching for big names that can help fill the Michael Jackson date. He was due to perform a 50-night residency at the London o2 Area, which would of taken his concerts dates into the early part of 2010. MJ death has left a massive void in the o2 calender. They hope Robbie Williams, along with Whitney Houston, 45, can help them recoup millions by selling out some of Jacksons dates in January, February and March.

Michael Jackson o2 Hologram tickets

July 27th, 2009

I have the option to take these Michael Jackson tickets up. Still undecided what to do as £80 odd pound for a piece of paper is a lot of money for a piece of memorabilia. I think there other way MJ can be remembered. In my opinion AEG Live are being very cheeky here. Don’t think it’s fair for them to do this. They say it a ticket Michael want the fans to have and remember the concert by. That maybe true, but I doubt he’d of wanted them to pay £80 for it.

Also it seems to me that the people who paid only £50 for their ticket got the better deal as let be honest their is no difference between a £75 and £50 ticket.

Well i have until sometime in August to decide.

Oh yeah i’ve also noticed there aren’t any on ebay any more. Whats going on there? Surely they are stopping some fans who missed out buying o2 concert tickets, from getting some memorabilia of Michael.

Michael Jackson RIP (29 August 1958 - 25 June 2009)

June 26th, 2009

King of Pop Michael Jackson ‘dies’ at the age of 50, after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest in Los Angeles.

Paramedics were called to the singer’s home around midday local time on Thursday after he stopped breathing and suffered a suspected cardiac arrest.

He was rushed by ambulance to a local medical centre, but his death was announced shortly afterwards.

The star was due to begin a series of comeback concerts in the UK on 13 July but reports had suggested he was suffering from health problems and had already cancelled four of the early o2 tour dates.

Crowds have begun to gather outside the facility, whose emergency centre has been roped off by police.

History

Jackson began his career as a child in The Jackson 5 which was formed with other family members.

He had hits such as Billie Jean and Bad which made him a global star.

1982 saw the releas of Thriler which became the biggest-selling album of all time, shifting 65m copies.

Sadly Michael has been dogged by controversy and money trouble in recent years in 2003 he was arrested on charges of molesting a 14-year-old boy, but was found not guilty following a five-month trial.

Family

Michael Jackson has three children, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II.

His family include his mother, Katherine, father, Joseph and eight brothers and sisters - including Janet, Randy, Jermaine and La Toya Jackson.

I was due to attend one of his first shows at the o2 and very excited to seeing him live. Sadly I won’t get to se the king of pop live

I hope Michael Jackson is remembered for his music and not the controversy that surrounded him towards the end of his life.
